Ivy
It had been twelve months since my husband left.
And I was feening again.
Sitting in the espresso shop in midtown Atlanta, I locked eyes with a tall, dark, and handsome stranger. He was covered in rich mahogany skin and had a muscular physique that stretched so high one would have to climb him like a tree. The cup he held disappeared in his palm as his hand was massive – just the right size to grip my throat. The column of his throat fit his wide shoulder frame like an expert craftsman had designed it there. He was a beautiful man. Lips luscious and lick-able. A low fade and trimmed goatee. But what held my attention the most was that gaze. His walnut brown eyes sucked me in, held me there, captivated like a prisoner locked behind a door that only he had the key to unlock.
Hmmmmm. I was feening again.
I imagined myself – slipping my tongue up his dark veiny shaft, sucking his head, and swallowing his dick until it teased the back of my throat.
“Mmmmmm…”
My moan was audible. A low humming sound that slipped from my lips unsuspectingly.
The stranger winked, tipped the cashier, and exited the shoppe. And what do you know—I was on my feet, following him.
The heat outside the shoppe was intense, but I was thankful that my car sat out front so I didn’t have to withstand the blistering heat for too long. I quickly blasted the air conditioner inside my Audi but never took my eyes off his stride.
He had a strut that said something magnificent was swinging between those thighs.
“Damn it, Ivy,” I whispered, chastising myself.
I’d done so well to hold out this long. But my cravings for fellatio got the better of me. I pulled out of the parking spot and followed my stranger, slipping into traffic behind his Mercedes-Maybach luxury sedan.
I caught a glimpse of his eyes as he glanced in his rearview mirror. We were at a red light, and I wondered what traveled through his mind as he watched me watch him. I was not a shy girl. I said what I meant and meant what I said.
All he had to do was ask. But my stranger had seen me, and I’d felt his attraction to me, yet he hadn’t said a thing.
That was interesting.
I was a woman accustomed to being hit on. Rarely did men, especially in Atlanta, remain mute once their eyes traveled the entire length of me – even if that was to only say hi.
My stranger, however, had said everything through the sweep of that intense gaze, but that was it, and now I needed to know how I could get his dick in the back of my throat.
Beeeeeep!
I sped up and ran the yellow light, causing a few drivers to stew at a red light they’d been caught at behind me.
My imagination was too far gone to pay them any mind. My attention was solely on the man in front of me, who smirked as he maneuvered through traffic.
He knew I was following him, and he found it funny that I could keep up. If only he understood – I wasn’t crazy. I was feening.
There was a difference.
I needed to be fed. And I needed him to do the feeding.
In my marriage, my husband had tamed me well enough that I only needed him. Regularly, I got my cravings satisfied.
After dinner, a shower, and while he was working in our home office when I needed to taste him, he accommodated me. I was thankful for him and for the time we shared. He understood my needs and didn’t judge me, which was rare.
Now that he was gone, I’d sat with my grief and wondered if I would ever love again. Would I ever find someone who could love me for the divergent soul that I was?
I sighed. There was one person, but she didn’t have a dick, and from what I could tell by the direction of my stranger, he seemed to be traveling to her neck of the woods.
We traveled through three more lights before my stranger made a right and drove to the gates of Hidden Springs Cove. A tingle ran down my spine. Hidden Springs Cove was owned by my best friend and it was no regular neighborhood from the small details I’d gathered from her.
I removed my cell phone and dialed her number. As the phone rang, my strangers stared at me through his rearview mirror. I imagined he must’ve wondered if I lived there or if I had any idea what I was doing by following him.
My friend’s voicemail picked up and I ended the call and shot off a quick text. Seconds later I got a response.
This is Daniella Armstrong.
Don’t text me in your professional tone.
You texted my business line, Ivy. How do you expect me to respond?
Oh, I didn’t realize it.
What’s going on?
I’m outside. Let me in.
I’ll come to your car.
No. I want to come inside.
You know only residents can enter the gates.
I need your help, Daniella.
Are you okay, Ivy?
Will you let me in? I’m your best friend. Don’t make me beg.
I’ll send King out to escort you inside.
Thank you.
I inhaled a breath and watched as my stranger entered his code and drove through the gates. On the other side he stopped, his break lights lit as he waited to see if I would enter behind him.
Whenever my cravings for someone ignited, I could feel them in my entire being. Like now – my stranger and I waiting, watching each other as warmth spread through my veins. A tingle pierced my nipples, ran up my throat and my mouth became parched.
A few feet away, King Cassidy, strolled passed the waiting vehicle, slipped through the gate and walked to my driver’s side. I unlocked the door and crawled into the passenger seat all while my stranger watched.
King Cassidy was Daniella’s person. Or… one of them at least. And yes, that meant a number of things as their relationship wasn’t conventional like most relationships. He was a tall, molasses, muscular toned brother with eyes that drank you in with a fluttering sweep. Daniella was the goat for bagging him – and his friends for that matter.
The door rocked as he slid inside and closed it.
“Hi King.”
That rocking gaze slid to me. “Hey, Ivy.” His thick brows dipped. “You alright?”
“Yeah. I’m…” My attention returned to my stranger who smirked and drove away slowly. “I’m okay but I’ve been better.” I looked back at him as he put the car in drive.
“I take it this is something Daniella can help you with?”
I nodded, my eyes going back to the gate that blocked us. “I’m hoping so.”
He entered a code and we were let inside. Hidden Springs Cove was a beautiful neighborhood. I had only been inside once and ever since then I’d dreamed of living in such a beautiful place. Manicured lawns, three story homes, parks and recreations. It appeared to be so calm and relaxing yet somehow, I felt I’d only scratched the surface of Hidden Springs Cove’s potential.
We made an immediate left and drove to the front leasing office and parked. King tossed the gear in park and jumped out. He was at my door opening it before I could gather myself.
“You don’t have to do that,” I said.
He cocked his head to the side. “Do what?”
“Open the door for me.”
His brows dipped. “Opening the door for you isn’t me doing anything but being myself. Are you saying I shouldn’t be myself around you?”
I laughed. Daniella… I thought. You lucky girl.
“That’s not what I’m saying.” I waved my hand. “Forget I mentioned it.”
He nodded. “Forgotten.”
The echo of high heels on the ground drew my attention to the front door of the leasing office. A smile spread across my face, and I slipped passed King almost skipping to Daniella.
She opened her arms and so did I. Our embrace was snug, comforting and relaxing. “Just what the doctor ordered,” I said, sighing against her chest, a light, sweet, airy fragrance tingling my senses.
“It sounds like you could use more of those orders.”
“You have no idea.”
We drew back and she gazed at me. “Come, tell me all about it.” She slipped her hand in mine and linked our fingers, turned and entered the building. “Let’s head out to the terrace.”
Entering her office was like entering another dimension. Daniella wasn’t satisfied with ordinary things. She needed extra layers to her life in all capacities and I understood that. She would get bored quickly with regular day to day activities, and I was proud that she had the audacity to make her life as extraordinary and dreamy as possible.
A mural on the wall created a lifelike backdrop of a forest. Towering trees with dark green leaves stretched above, the branches forming a natural canopy. The forest floor was covered in soft moss and dotted with wildflowers. A stream followed a winding path where a deer stood poised as if noticing my entrance. The life-like mural spilled onto the floor, lit up in front of me with each step I took.
“This is so freakin’ beautiful. How can you live like this every day?”
She paused and turned her eye over her shoulder to look at me. “Should I answer that or is it rhetorical?”
“Both.”
She chuckled. “It awakens my soul daily. Keeps me in another space, life, galaxy. My fantasies become my reality. In fact, that’s the whole purpose of this neighborhood.”
“Speaking of that – can I know more?”
She smirked, and her eyes traveled the full length of me.
“The last time we had this conversation you abruptly made me stop. Are you sure you want to know?”
“I bit my lip. How do you get the mural to move?”
Her eye widened and I pursed my lips and shook my head. “Never mind.”
She chuckled and we exited through a sliding glass door at the back wall. Stepping onto the terrace transformed our view into a living, breathing, gorgeous backdrop. Much like the mural inside.
“This is where you got your inspiration, isn’t it?” I took my eyes across the greens and golds of the trees and the hidden cove that only we could see from this angle.
“Of course. Reality always spills into my creative fantasy.”
I nodded, placing my hands on the railing that was cool to the touch. The door behind us slid open and I glanced back to see King.
“Would you ladies like anything to drink?”
I shrugged. “Whatever you have is fine.”
His thick brows rose. “We have whatever you need, Ivy.”
The innuendo came across sexual – or maybe it had felt that way with the way the choice of words slithered through my body. I glanced at Daniella who smirked but waited for my response.
“Now is not the time to offer me whatever I need, King.”
“Why?”
I looked to Daniella. “Because I might take you up on your offer.”
King’s gaze flipped to Daniella. “She doesn’t know, does she?”
“Not yet,” Daniella answered, keeping her eyes on me. “But I’m about to inform her.”
He nodded. “I’ll be back with drinks.”
King disappeared and I watched him leave. “How the hell do you handle all of that man?”
“Most likely with the same tenacity that you handled your husband before he…”
My eyes shot to her. It was the first time she had spoken about his passing. When it first happened, I was stoic, and completely unemotional. But knowing me, Daniella had allowed me to feel things. The heavy crush in my soul, the scream in my throat that wouldn’t leave my mouth, the shock and utter disbelief. Once it had all hit me – after the funeral, I fell into a heap on the floor where she consoled me through the night. Since then, we’d become closer than ever, if that was possible. But twelve months later, I was ready to get back in the field and find someone who could love me for me.
“It’s fine,” I said. “I understand what you mean. But that man is larger than life. I gotta feeling it would take two of me to tackle him.”
She laughed.
“Never mind the fact that you have two more boyfriends. How do ya’ll live so happily under one roof?”
“You always ask me that.”
“Maybe because I’m trying to figure out how they can do it without any problems like jealousy. They are men. Mandingo warrior men too.”
She chuckled again.
“They don’t see each other as competition. They are one organism, Ivy. They are relaxed, happy that I am safe under their care, and brothers in spirit.”
“Hmmm.”
“You would understand if you lived the life.”
“And how do I do that?”
“First, you need to be open to understanding. Only then can you accept the difference in our life and the residents’ lives.”
“How do the residents live?”
She smirked. “Are you ready for this conversation or are you going to change the subject like you did when we were inside?”
I opened my mouth to respond and hesitated.
“I’m ready to feel again, and I know only you can help me with that.”
Her eyes drove over me again. “Have a seat.”
