Hey reading family. I’m back with a Sample Sunday from Beautiful Assassin 4! This book drops Tuesday! Here’s a sneak peek.

The little black dress rose up Celine’s hips as she danced. Slightly bent over, throwing her ass to the sound of the rap music vibrating into the night’s air. Brian covered her waist with one arm and drew her back to him, a growl on his tongue.

“You know damn well you don’t need to be throwing ass like that.”

Celine arched a brow as she looked over her shoulder at him. “Says who?”

“Our daughter is watching, and my dick is hard, Celine.”

Celine tossed her head back and laughed. “Tell the truth. You wanna fuck, and we can’t because dinner is almost ready. Right?”

“Grrrrrrrrggggh… woman.”

Celine giggled and twerked, bouncing her ass harder against his crotch.

Brian tightened his grip and bit her earlobe. “Our daughter—”

“—Is playing with Marcus at the other end of the boat,” she said, whining her hips. “Ooooou this dick is so hard, I want it in me.”

“What you’re doing to me is sinister.”

Laughter made Celine lean forward, but Brian held her firm as the mega yacht sailed steadily on the dark, quiet waters. Warm wind whipped around them as Celine gyrated against Brian.

Down the yacht, Marcus was swinging Sky around, and she was giggling, holding him tight. A small army of their crew was scattered about, speaking in hushed tones when Marcus noticed. He brought their swinging to a slow stop and set Sky on her feet.

“I’m dizzy!” she yelled, grabbing her head.

Marcus chuckled. “Give it a second, it’ll wear off.” He glanced at Dominque and whistled. Dominque broke from the group of men and walked toward Marcus.

“What’s good?”

“Anything I need to know?” he said, motioning with a nod towards the group gathering and dispersing.

“Na. JT missed his check-in, so they’re going below deck to check on him.”

“He’s probably takin’ a shit.”

Dominique laughed as Marcus continued. “Stankin’ ass nigga.” Dominique’s laugh turned into a howl, and that made Marcus laugh.

In the near distance, Marcus watched Celine traipse toward them when another shadow moved at his left.

He glanced back and opened his arm for Mama Devereaux.

“The Good Lord knows I love hearing you all enjoy yourselves, but dinner is ready. At any time, you can make your way below deck and get some nourishment to feed your soul.”

“Amen, Mama Devereaux,” Marcus said, squeezing her close and placing a kiss on her temple. “I’ll be there soon.”

“Suit yourself.” She held her hand out towards Sky, and Sky grabbed it. “Come on, baby, let’s go so you can eat.”

Celine arrived as they were leaving.

“Wait!” Sky said, shaking out of her grandmother’s grasp and running into Celine’s arms.

“Oh!” Celine swept her up and kissed her face all over. “Go get something to eat!” Celine said, putting Sky back on her feet.

Laughing, Sky kissed Celine back in the same manner. Peppering kissing all over her face. Sky’s afro pigtails bounced in the wind, and the dress and stockings she wore were from Chanel’s fall collection.

“I love you, Mama!”

“I love you, too, baby!”

Sky giggled and ran back to Mama Devereaux, and they disappeared below deck with Dominque trailing them.

Marcus gave Celine his attention, crossing his arms behind his back.

“Queen.”

She slapped his shoulder and pushed him, though the attack didn’t move him. Marcus smirked.

“You’re so hostile.”

“Knowing this doesn’t make you lead with caution.”

He chuckled. “How many times do we have to go through this? You’re the Queen. You must be addressed as such.”

“You’re also supposed to respect me.”

His eyes lowered into a squint. “Since when don’t I respect you?”

“Every time I give you an order, and you ignore it.”

“All of this because I respect you enough to call you Queen and not Celine?”

She sighed. “I love it when you call me Celine.”

His brows arched, and they held each other’s stare in a long, windy silence. Clearing his throat, Marcus glanced down the boat at Brian’s fading back. He was walking with Manning and Terrance to the far end of the dock.

“You love it when I call you Celine,” he mocked. “Is that your way of trying to get your way?”

“I’ve never had to argue with a nigga in order to get them to call me by my name.”

Marcus laughed. “What’s up, Celine?”

“Finally!” she tossed her arms up, and Marcus shook his head.

“Tell me what’s up before I take it back.”

She glared at him and scrunched her face. “I think you like arguing with me.”

“I don’t,” he chuckled.

She sighed and glanced up at the night sky. Stars sprinkled across the firmament, and a full moon glowed to the east.

“What’s on your mind?” he asked, staring at her with brows dipped.

“Do you think we did good?”

“With?”

“With Sky, and the organization?”

“The results speak for themselves.”

She nodded and rubbed her arms. Marcus studied her. “What’s worrying you?”

Celine frowned. “What do you mean?”

He twisted his lips. “Do we have to go back and forth before you finally tell me what’s on your heart?”

“You know, as someone who’s Brian’s right-hand man, you sure do act like you’re mine.”

He lowered his eyes to her. “Am I not yours?”

“I never gave you that position.”

“This is news to me.”

“Come on, Marcus, Brian put you on my detail to be my backup when things get sticky, I wouldn’t call that a right hand.”

Marcus smirked and shook his head. Celine hadn’t changed since the day he met her. Well, in a sense, she’d grown for sure. But she still walked around like she had a big fat dick swinging between her thighs. Calling Marcus her backup was her way of keeping the façade going that Marcus wasn’t her protection or guard, but moreso a partner in crime. Both could be true, and Marcus was okay with accepting that.

“All of this  for me to get out of you what’s on your heart?”

A loud bang interrupted their back-and-forth, and they both sharply turned toward the sound. In the next split second, an explosion in the middle of the boat from below deck jerked the yacht and split it through the middle. There was no time to react, but still, Marcus attempted to grab Celine before they were both thrown backward, they landed in the dark ocean with so much force that it knocked them both out.
